ADAMTS3 is a gene associated with lymphatic development. A variant reported in Bulldog-type breeds is associated with fluid accumulation and neonatal oedema. Because copy number is inherited, knowing each parent's genotype allows pairings to be planned so that variant copy number is not increased in offspring.

Does DNA testing guarantee a healthy puppy?

No. DNA testing establishes genotype at tested loci and removes specific inherited conditions from the range of possible outcomes. It does not eliminate acquired conditions, environmental factors or conditions with no available test. We describe what testing covers and what it does not.

Do your dogs have airway surgery?

Dogs used in this program breathe and exercise without surgical airway intervention. Airway function is assessed on the individual dog rather than inferred from appearance.

Wait times depend on planned pairings rather than a fixed queue. Because litters are planned around genotype and maternal health, we do not add litters to meet demand. Expect to wait for the right pairing.
